The History Club’s first book: GRINGLEY: A PORTRAIT, sub-titled: Pictures & History to Celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, 2012 was published and distributed in July. Feedback has been generally positive, with the first minor corrections and additional snippets coming in as well – just what we wanted.
One very unfortunate omission was the name of Fay Marie Morris from the list of contributing authors. This is much regretted. Fay actually drafted a couple of chapters, as can be seen from the Contents Page.
Further copies are still available for latecomers. A few further copies are being ordered for stock and will be available at £30 each. Alternatively we can give potential buyers the link to the Blurb website – you then order your own single copy directly at £28.95 plus £4.99 carriage.
Ideas for a follow-up book, possibly a more detailed but less glossy survey of the buildings, events and personalities of the last 100 or 150 years, have been suggested.
Over 130 copies sold and waiting list now open for further copies.
